Background:
One of Malaysias homegrown success stories, Carotech Bhd. incorporated in 1992, is the first and only integrated plant in the world to commercially extract tocotrienol complex - Tocomin(R) (a potent form of natural Vitamin E and more commonly known as Super Vitamin E), mixed carotene complex - Caromin(R) and phytosterols Stelessterol(TM) from palm fruits (Elaeis guineensis). The extraction technology is protected through a worldwide patent - US Patent No : 5,157,132 and does not involved the use of harmful organic solvents. We have also recently launched a natural lycopene extract from tomato (Maxopene(TM)).
Carotech embarked on its full production activities in 1995 and has since successfully carved a niche a ...nd become the leading suppliers of these phytonutrients especially the Tocomin? natural full spectrum palm tocotrienol complex, throughout the world with United States, Europe, Japan and Australia making up the main markets. These products are produce to the specific needs and specifications of clients and are mainly used in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, functional food/drinks and cosmetic/personal care applications.
Research & Development:
Responding to demands from customers worldwide, Carotech has, in the last few years, embarked on extensive research and development to add value to these phytonutrients product range. It now offers an array of tocotrienol and mixed carotene products ranging from concentrated oil suspension, beadlets and water dispersible powders/emulsions for various applications. Innovation continues to accelerate within the company with the current development of novel delivery system for optimal absorption of these phytonutrients.
Worldwide Sales & Marketing Office:
In 1999, Carotech has taken the bold step to set up its worldwide sales and marketing office in the United States Carotech Incorporated. This new office serves to strengthen Carotechs position in the US market, and throughout the world and in providing the best possible service to existing clients as well as establish new opportunities for the company.
Carotech is the first palm phytonutrient API manufacturer in the world to be certified compliant to cGMP.
